Versus what you use today
The touchline notebook
Nothing beats a notebook in the sixtieth minute. The problem arrives on Tuesday, when someone has to add it all up.
Fast to write, useless to total
Twelve match days of substitutions are written down, yes, across twelve different pages. Nobody is going to add that up, so that figure does not exist.
A phone works on the touchline too
The live view is built for the pitch: big buttons, one hand, clock running. It is not filling in a form.
Paper still has its place
The training session exports to PDF to be carried printed. What gets digitised is what has to be added up, not what has to be read in the rain.
And the old notebook
If you want to recover previous seasons, they can be entered by hand or imported from a spreadsheet for a complete history.
Why not stick with Excel or WhatsApp?
